Allen Palmiere, Interim CEO, Director

Mr. Palmiere joined as an independent Director in May 2019. Mr. Palmiere has more than 35 years of operational and financial experience in the mining industry. During his career, he has served as President and CEO of Adriana Resources Inc., CEO and Chair of HudBay Minerals Inc, and Executive Chair of South Africa's Barplats Investment Ltd.

Suresh Kalathil, Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer

Mr. Kalathil joined the Company in March 2019 and is a mining engineer with more than 25 years' experience working in open pit and underground operations and major projects around the world. He is a Certified First Class Mine Manager and a trained Six Sigma 'Black Belt'. Previously, Mr. Kalathil worked for IAMGOLD Corporation, where he served as General Manager of the Rosebel Gold Mine in Suriname. He led the overall operational and strategic transformation of Rosebel as IAMGOLD embarked on driving efficiencies out of every aspect of the operation's value chain leading to improved productivity, substantial reduction in all-in sustaining costs and increased reserve base to transform it into a profitable, cornerstone asset.

Ron Stewart, Senior Vice President, Technical Services & Corporate Development

Mr. Stewart joined Guyana Goldfields in September 2018 and is a mining professional with over 30 years of international experience in exploration, project development, operations and capital markets. Prior to Guyana Goldfields, Mr. Stewart served as the President, CEO and Director of Beaufield Resources Inc., a mineral exploration company concentrated on the acquisition, exploration, and development of precious and base metal resource properties in Canada. Previously, Mr. Stewart spent eight years in the capital markets industry in varying roles with financial institutions as a top ranked equity analyst and investment banker. Prior to that, Mr. Stewart held a variety of industry positions including President and CEO of Verena Minerals Ltd. which later was renamed Belo Sun Mining; Executive Vice President of Exploration for Kinross Gold Corp. and a variety of positions during a sixteen-year career with Placer Dome Inc.

Perry Holloway, Senior Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Affairs

Mr. Holloway joined Guyana Goldfields in January 2019 and is a career diplomat with more than 30 years of international experience in Latin America and the Caribbean focusing on government relations, business advocacy, program management, development, and security. Prior to Guyana Goldfields, Mr. Holloway was the United States Ambassador to Guyana and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). He also has served in Colombia, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, and Afghanistan. Mr. Holloway holds a Masters in International Business Sciences (MIBS) from the University of South Carolina and a Masters in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF).

CHRISTOPHER STACKHOUSE (CPA,CA, BBA) , Interim CFO

Mr. Stackhouse was appointed Interim CFO in November 2018. Before that he was primarily responsible for the Company’s corporate financial reporting, compliance, financial planning and analysis. Mr. Stackhouse joined Guyana Goldfields in August 2012, originally as Project Budget Manager based in Guyana during the construction and development of the Aurora Gold Mine. Prior to joining Guyana Goldfields, Mr. Stackhouse was a Manager at PricewaterhouseCoopers primarily within the mining assurance practice. Mr. Stackhouse holds an Honours Business Administration BBA degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.

LISA ZANGARI (CHRE), Chief Talent and Compliance Officer

Ms. Zangari joined Guyana Goldfields in September 2018 and is a seasoned senior human resources executive with a long mining history that illustrates strong strategic management skills, a solid background in human resources and a 20+ year career focused on delivering high levels of employee engagement, performance and results. Ms. Zangari has demonstrated a proven ability to build highly-competent, high-performing teams. Prior to Guyana Goldfields, Lisa was founder and chief consultant to Epic Engagement, an executive advisory services firm. From 2014 – 2016, Ms. Zangari was the Chief Human Resources Officer for OpenText Corporation responsible for global people strategy and organizational development. Prior to this, Lisa was Senior Vice President, Human resources for IAMGOLD Corporation from 2009 – 2014 where she led the organizational design and talent planning to evolve the company from a centralized to regional model and to ensure critical roles had high-performing talent. From 2005 – 2009, Ms. Zangari was the Senior Vice President, Human resources for Kinross Gold Corporation and overlooked the global HR strategy and organizational development. Prior to this, Ms. Zangari held various human resources roles at Placer Dome Inc. over an 11-year duration. Ms. Zangari holds a Canadian Human Resources Executive designation (CHRE).

ROHIT TELLIS, Chief Information Officer

Mr. Tellis joined Guyana Goldfields in November 2014 and brings over 15 years of experience in information technology and employing systems and has been Chief Information Officer of Guyana Goldfields since November 2014. Mr. Tellis was formerly with Alamos Gold as their Director of IT.

JACQUELINE WAGENAAR (CPIR), VP, Investor Relations & Corporate Communications

Ms. Wagenaar joined the Company in June 2009 and is a seasoned Investor Relations Executive with 10+ years of experience across a variety of business sectors for publicly traded companies. She brings extensive capital markets experience and exceptional relationships within the investment community and brings a highly strategic, innovative approach to investor relations that is customized and calibrated based on each company, industry and situation. Ms. Wagenaar has been responsible for all investor relations, corporate communications and media relations for the Company. Ms. Wagenaar is a Certified Professional in Investor Relations from the Richard Ivey School of Business and studied at the University of Western Ontario. She sits on the Ontario Board of Directors of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute and is a frequent industry speaker and an involved IR advocate within the profession.

Mr. Gemmell joined Guyana Goldfields in October 2015 and has more than 15 years of capital markets experience with a particular focus on the mining industry. His most recent roles include sell-side research analyst with Raymond James covering the gold sector and President and CEO of Lago Dourado Minerals, a publicly traded company focused on acquiring and advancing exploration properties within the Americas.
