Alan Pangbourne, President & Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Pangbourne was appointed to President & CEO on January 1, 2020. Prior to this appointment, Mr. Pangbourne joined the Board of Directors as an independent Director in May 2019. Mr. Pangbourne has more than 35 years of experience in the mining industry, including open pit and underground operations. Prior to his retirement last year, he was Chief Operating Officer of SSR Mining Inc. Before joining SSR Mining in 2013 he was Vice President Projects, South America, with Kinross Gold Corporation.

Leon Binedell, (CPA, CA, B.Comm), Chief Financial Officer

“Mr. Binedell joined the Company in August 2019 and brings over 23 years of global mining experience as a senior finance leader with a strong focus of driving value to the business. Until recently, Mr. Binedell was the Finance Director for a mining-focused private equity firm that partners with companies to build strong, successful and sustainable businesses that strive to produce superior returns to its stakeholders. Prior to this, Mr. Binedell was the National Leader - Finance Consulting in Mining & Energy for PricewaterhouseCoopersLLP where he assisted clients in reducing their cost base by ~20% through sustainable cost savings initiatives and financial improvements. Prior thereto, Mr. Binedell worked in a variety of global finance roles responsible for optimizing operational performance, annual budgeting and forecasting, risk management, and internal controls across several companies including Xstrata Nickel (now Glencore), KoniamboNickelSAS (a Glencore Nickel Joint Venture), Xstrata Coal and Deloitte. Mr. Binedell holds a CPA, CA and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) from the University of Johannesburg.”

Perry Holloway, Senior Vice President, Strategy & Corporate Affairs

Mr. Holloway joined Guyana Goldfields in January 2019 and is a career diplomat with more than 30 years of international experience in Latin America and the Caribbean focusing on government relations, business advocacy, program management, development, and security. Prior to Guyana Goldfields, Mr. Holloway was the United States Ambassador to Guyana and the Caribbean Community (CARICOM). He also has served in Colombia, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Paraguay, and Afghanistan. Mr. Holloway holds a Masters in International Business Sciences (MIBS) from the University of South Carolina and a Masters in National Resource Strategy from the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF).

LISA ZANGARI (CHRE), Chief Talent and Compliance Officer

Ms. Zangari joined Guyana Goldfields in September 2018 and is a seasoned senior human resources executive with a long mining history that illustrates strong strategic management skills, a solid background in human resources and a 20+ year career focused on delivering high levels of employee engagement, performance and results. Ms. Zangari has demonstrated a proven ability to build highly-competent, high-performing teams. Prior to Guyana Goldfields, Lisa was founder and chief consultant to Epic Engagement, an executive advisory services firm. From 2014 – 2016, Ms. Zangari was the Chief Human Resources Officer for OpenText Corporation responsible for global people strategy and organizational development. Prior to this, Lisa was Senior Vice President, Human resources for IAMGOLD Corporation from 2009 – 2014 where she led the organizational design and talent planning to evolve the company from a centralized to regional model and to ensure critical roles had high-performing talent. From 2005 – 2009, Ms. Zangari was the Senior Vice President, Human resources for Kinross Gold Corporation and overlooked the global HR strategy and organizational development. Prior to this, Ms. Zangari held various human resources roles at Placer Dome Inc. over an 11-year duration. Ms. Zangari holds a Canadian Human Resources Executive designation (CHRE).

ROHIT TELLIS, Chief Information Officer

Mr. Tellis joined Guyana Goldfields in November 2014 and brings over 15 years of experience in information technology and employing systems and has been Chief Information Officer of Guyana Goldfields since November 2014. Mr. Tellis was formerly with Alamos Gold as their Director of IT.
