The Company’s Safety and Health program is based on ISO 18001:2007, and is overseen by the integrated ESMS Management System described above.

The health and safety of our employees, contractors, affected communities and all others that may participate and be affected by the operations of Guyana Goldfields are critical to the long-term success of the Company.

Every effort is made to ensure that the best practice health and safety policies are implemented and adhered to. This includes prompt and in-depth accident and incident investigation reports and the implementation of the any recommendations contained therein.

The program’s ultimate goal is Zero Harm with a lost time incident (LTI Frequency Rate) target of 0.28.
